MDCAN CELEBRATES PROFESSOR ABDUS-SAMIU ADEWALE MUSA-OLOMU

The Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria, (MDCAN) Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta Chapter, celebrated Prof. Abdus-Samiu Adewale Musa-Olomu in a colorful manner as his tenure drew to a close. 

The event was attended by Medical Practitioners, members of the Hospital Management Committee, family, union leaders, and well-wishers.

Tributes poured in as attendees praised Prof. Musa-Olomu’s exceptional leadership, describing him as a goal-getter, dedicated to prayer, an icon, researcher, compassionate, hardworking, focused, and problem solver.

Speakers testified to his transformative impact on FMCA, driven by his vision to establishing a teaching hospital.

The Chairman of the occasion and Head of Clinical Services Dr. Adekunle Adediran, reflected on Prof. Musa-Olomu’s tenure, highlighting his achievements and challenges overcome.

The celebration underscored the out-going Medical Director’s commitment to excellence and his lasting legacy at FMCA.

Representatives from the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences Abeokuta (FUMMSA) and Neuropsychiatric Hospital Aro Abeokuta praised Prof. Musa-Olomu’s good work and wished him greater heights.

Heads of departments, consultants, and colleagues, including Dr. Fidelis Ojeblenu, Dr. Ajadi, Dr. Mrs. Ibiyemi, Dr.Segun Orisajo, (representing the HMC )  Dr. Sanni, and  Comrade Fatokun Oluwafemi (MHWUN), showered accolades on the celebrant.

The celebrant’s wife, Dr. Mrs. Monsurat Titilayo Musa, and children expressed gratitude to Almighty God for protecting their family name and achieving success, attributing it to Prof . Musa-Olomu’s commitment and dedication.

The celebrant and Medical Director,  Prof . Musa-Olomu, was overwhelmed  with emotion as he listened to the accolades.

He attributed all success to Almighty God and the support from the Management and staff. 

He said he had been guided by his intention to do good and be accountable to Almighty Allah on Judgment Day.

He highlighted his legacy, the SWEPT scheme, designed to give a cushion to staff and members of FMCA through vehicles purchased to reduce transportation costs, allowing them to use the money saved to attend to other bills. 

He said, “We have brought in quite a lot of projects that you will not have exhausted in two years.” 

He appreciated everyone and his immediate family for their support towards his success story.

The occasion with witnessed gifts presentations and Leadership Award by MDCAN to the Medical Director.

Professor Adewale Musa-Olomu’s milestone achievements will continue to be in the good books of history.
