Dr. (Mrs.) Sarah Titilola Ibiyemi is the current head of Department of Dental Services.
She is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. She had her early education in Abeokuta Girls Grammar School, Abeokuta and Federal Government Girls College, Sagamu.
She obtained her bachelor of Dental Surgery from University of Ibadan where she won the prestigious Provost’s award in her set. She went onto have her Housemanship and Youth Service at Military Hospital, Lagos. She won an award during her youth service year at Lagos Mainland Local Government. She worked briefly in the private dental setting before joining Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta in 2001. She obtained Fellowship of NPMCN after residency training. She is also a fellow of International College of Surgeons as well as AO Cranio-maxillofacial.
She has interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Oncology, Reconstruction and Infections, this has made her to attend trainings on these in Nigeria, United Kingdom and Germany.
She also has special interest in Ethics and good leadership especially in health sector, she is in the process of concluding a Masters programme in public health (health policy and management) in University of Ibadan.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ibiyemi is a member of several professional organisations such as Nigerian Medical Association, Nigerian Dental Association, International Association of Dental Research, Medical Women’s International Association, Nigerian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, African Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons and AOCMF Women Surgeons. Dr Ibiyemi is the current Treasurer of African Association Of Oral And Maxillofacial Surgeons. She is also a member of Scientific Committee of Medical Women International Association.
She has publications in both local and international journals. She has presented papers on some of her research findings at conferences in both Nigeria and abroad.
She is involved in various community services, especially to the less privileged, where she donates both her surgical skills and resources to surgical outreaches, from time to time.
She loves travelling, reading, singing and dancing. She enjoys the game lawn tennis.
